How to get to San Blas 
There are two ways to get to San Blas from Panama

Flying to San Blas is the most efficient way to enter the region.

 

Recommended departure time is 7:30am, but we can accommodate your schedule, just let us know when booking.​ ​

Booking a private plane to the San Blas Islands makes a lot of sense, in part because it will limit your transfer time to just 40 minutes compared to the 3.5+ hours it will take if you take a road transfer.​ ​

Departure from: Albrook local terminal in Panama City Departure time at check-in: early in the morning

 

Departure time at checkout: same as check-in time Arrival at: Heart of Jesus or the Future

Type: private plane

Duration: 40 minutes

Costs of road trips

  • Ground transportation from the hotel, Tocumen airport or another point from Panama City, to the San Blas terminal in Carti: 25 $/person in a shared 4x4. (Transportation from another point in Panama, and/or by private transport, consult the cost)                                                                                                                                                                          Outbound Panama - San Blas                                                                                                 

  • Pick-up time at the door of your house or hotel: between 5:15 a.m. and 5:45 a.m.

  • Arrival at the port of Carti (Guna Yala) around 8:30am.

  • Pick up time for the RETURN: 7:30 am.

  • Arrival at the port of Carti (Guna Yala) 8:30am.

  • Arrival in Panama City: 12:30pm.

                                                                                                                         

                  Payments you must make apart from the boat renta

  • The payments for the transport of the car and the boat and regional taxes must be paid directly to the driver of the car and to the motorist of the boat.                                                                                                                                                                                                                     

  • Roundtrip transportation by car: $50 per person.

  • Round trip boat transportation: $50 per person.

  • Entrance tax: $20 if they are foreigners and $5 if they are Panamanians or residents.

  • Use of the port: $2 per person.
